Peran Pemerintah Nagari dalam Meningkatkan Kesadaran dan Partisipasi Masyarakat Membayar Pajak Bumi dan Bangunan di Nagari Koto Sani Kabupaten Solok
Abstract
This study aims to determine the role of the nagari government in increasing public awareness and participation in paying land and building taxes in Nagari Koto Sani, Solok Regency. The background of this study explains the lack of public awareness and participation, this can be seen when the community pays taxes and is picked up directly by tax collectors from door to door. When collecting taxes at home, there are problems that are felt by the community, such as there is no money to pay taxes, waiting for the harvest, and waiting for the new moon. Lack of public understanding of the importance of taxes and obligations requires serious attention. This research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach. Test the validity of the data with triangulation techniques. Collecting data through interviews, documentation and observation. The data analysis technique that the researcher uses is the manual data analysis procedure (MDAP). As a procedure, MDAP has stages, from notes to memos. Then the validity of the data was tested by source trigulation. This study aims to determine the role of the nagari government in increasing public awareness and participation in paying land and building taxes in Nagari Koto Sani, Solok Regency.
The results of the study explain that the causative factors are: high sense of laziness, lots of tax object errors, lack of tax collectors. Then the efforts of the nagari government to raise awareness and increase participation in paying land and building taxes: various socializations were carried out to the community, first a meeting with the nagari guardian, an appeal to the community, distribution of billboards installed on the highway, calendar distribution, local government door prize events held at Kayu Aro and community door-to-door services.
