PENGEMBANGAN WISATA BUKIT GADO-GADO OLEH ORGANISASI MASYARAKAT KELOMPOK SADAR WISATA DALAM PENINGKATKAN KESEJAHTERAAN MASYARAKAT DI KELURAHAN BUKIT GADO-GADO KOTA PADANG

Abstract

This study describes the development of Bukit Gado-Gado Tourism by Community Organizations of Tourism Awareness Groups in Improving Community Welfare in Bukit Gado-Gado Village, Padang City. This research is motivated by several problems found in the development of Bukit Gado-Gado tourism, namely, there is no sale of souvenirs for souvenirs for tourists, tourism awareness in providing information centers around the area is not yet available, facilities and infrastructure such as public toilets, prayer rooms and signs. attractions are still not available. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. The selection of informants was carried out by purposive sampling. In collecting data using interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis is done by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Then the validity of this data was tested by triangulation. This study uses the theory of tourism development with the main components including tourist attraction (Attraction), accessibility (Accessibility), amenity (Amenity), additional service facilities (Ancillary). The results of this study indicate that the development of the Gado-Gado Hill Object by Pokdarwis is quite good, although there are several things that need to be further optimized in its development. Especially in improving the facilities and infrastructure which are the main support for tourism, it must be immediately repaired again in their development and maintenance. Obstacles in the development of tourism are also factors of land to be developed, budget, and lack of human resources capable of processing and developing tourism potential.
