The Efektivitas Program Pembinaan Narapidana Pada Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Dalam Rangka Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia (Studi Pada Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas II A Padang)

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Effectiveness of the Convict Development Program in the
Context of Human Resource Development in Class II A Penitentiary in Padang. The object of
this study is Class II A Penitentiary in Padang. This research was conducted using a qualitative
approach with descriptive methods. This study used a purposive sampling technique in selecting
the sample. Data collection techniques in this study are by interview, observation, and
documentation. In this study, researchers used a source triangulation technique to test the
validity of the data, as for data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation, and
concluding. The results showed the Effectiveness of the Convict Development Program in the
Context of Developing Human Resources in Class IIA Padang Penitentiary, namely the lack of
interest in prisoners participating in the coaching program and the low capacity in the form of
facilities and infrastructure in Class II A Penitentiary Padang.
