EFEKTIVITAS PERAN PEMERINTAH NAGARI BINJAI TAPAN DALAM PENCEGAHAN BENCANA BANJIR BANDANG

Abstract

This research was conducted to see the effectiveness of the role of the Nagari Binjai Tapan Government in preventing banjir bandang disasters. Based on the problems and objectives, the researchers used qualitative techniques and descriptive methods as well as purposive sampling techniques for selecting informants. The data were collected using the method of observation, interviews and documentation studies. Based on the results and discussion, it shows that the effectiveness of the Nagari government's role in the effort to prevent banjir bandang disasters as a whole is divided into three criteria, namely goal achievement, integration/socialization and adaptation. These three elements can be said to have not gone well, the first is that the achievement of goals has not been carried out in accordance with what is desired. Next, integration has been carried out but has not been fully effective and adaptation has not been carried out properly due to lack of budget funds to repair the damage that occurred after the banjir bandang. The role of the nagari government has 4 indicators, namely providing guidelines for the community to carry out prevention, then carry out prevention and evacuation of the community as well as carry out disaster mitigation and disaster emergency response these four indicators have not been fully effective.
